The partnership between ENBI Plastics & Silicones and PSW is about more than work, it is about people. Since 2022, we have been working together to support candidates facing barriers to the job market in their personal and professional development. What started as a meeting between Lei Kurvers, job coach at PSW, and Erwin Buijs at ENBI has grown into a successful partnership built on inclusivity and growth.
The power of on-site coaching
A key pillar of the collaboration is the role of Lei, a job coach at PSW. Lei provides not only practical support on the shop floor but also a listening ear and personal guidance. It’s about people realizing they matter and can make a difference.
“It’s not just about work. It’s about people realizing they’re valuable and can make a difference. As a coach, I see them grow in confidence, skills, and work ethic,” says Lei.
Together with PSW colleagues Ruud and Yvonne, Lei also ensures the right match between candidates and the work at ENBI. Whether it’s assembly, quality control, or support, every candidate gets the chance to contribute in a meaningful way.
At ENBI, Linda plays a crucial role as a “Harrie”, a colleague who supports PSW candidates in their day-to-day work. Linda knows the candidates well, understands their needs, and works closely with Lei to ensure a smooth transition.
Linda is an extension of my role as coach. She ensures continuity, provides guidance, and helps candidates work independently. “She is an indispensable link,” says Lei. Her commitment not only contributes to the candidates’ success but also strengthens the sense of belonging within the ENBI team.
Every collaboration comes with challenges. Striking the right balance between expectations and each candidate’s pace requires flexibility and continuous adjustment. Lei and Linda play a key role here by regularly evaluating and adjusting where needed.
At ENBI, candidates aren’t judged by production numbers but given the opportunity to build work experience in an environment that matches their abilities. The key principle is that they feel valued and are able to grow at their own pace.
A future full of opportunities
ENBI and PSW look to the future with confidence. With a shared focus on inclusivity and development, both parties aim to continue building a long-term partnership. Erwin and Lei emphasize the importance of personal guidance, mutual trust, and a warm working environment.
“This collaboration shows that inclusion adds value not only to an organization but also to people’s lives. That’s what we’ll keep working on, together!” says Erwin.
