LSR Injection Molding 

Engineered for exceptional precision in medical and food-grade applications.

Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) offers excellent processability along with material properties essential for applications involving direct contact with skin, fluids, or tissue. With its long-term elasticity, dimensional stability under load, and thermal resistance, LSR delivers a consistent, reliable material that provides the sterilizability and chemical inertness of PP together with the sealing flexibility of TPE. As a result, it’s an ideal choice for applications where hygiene and sealing are critical, eliminating the risk of migration, deformation, or residue. 

LSR can also be sterilized using various industry-standard methods, like steam, autoclave, or gamma, making it ideal for environments where hygiene, reliability, and process control are critical. 

Even miniature components can be molded with high precision using LSR. With specialized molding techniques, we mold parts weighing less than 1 gram, such as dosing valves, micro-seals, and flexible connectors. This includes membrane solutions as thin as 20 μm, engineered for controlled displacement, damping, and permeability.

The required functionality determines the Shore A hardness. Proper alignment of material, geometry, mold design, and process settings ensures the part performs as intended.

Multiple-K LSR 

Combinations that hold, chemically and functionally.

When a single material isn’t enough, we combine LSR with thermoplastics, metals, or other LSR grades in 2K molding. This results in a single component with multiple functional zones: no assembly or bonding required. 

Adhesion is the critical factor. We control adhesion through chemical or physical methods, depending on the material pairing, product design, and performance requirements. Whether it’s structural load, flexible transitions, or sealing performance, adhesion remains stable, even under thermal stress, sterilization, or long-term mechanical pressure. 

To achieve this, we apply a range of adhesion strategies, suitable for many thermoplastics. Tooling, injection sequence, and surface condition are critical factors. The result is more than just a mix of materials, it’s a functional design, completed in a single cycle and tailored to performance and operating conditions. 

Treatment and Process Conditions 

Beyond material choice, tailored to performance and environment.

Adhesion takes more than material selection. By activating LSR surfaces, applying custom bonding techniques, and adjusting surface properties to suit assembly, contact behavior, or functional load demands, we ensure lasting performance. Our focus includes:

  • Adhesion - chemically or physically controlled; compatible with various thermoplastics
  • Friction - adjusted via surface treatments or coatings, based on desired grip or smoothness 
  • Feel & Touch - including customized surface textures
  • Shore A Hardness - optimized for deformation, pressure, or spring response
  • Ultra Bright - high transparency for optical or visually critical components
  • Color - from functional coding to aesthetic integration
  • High-Temperature Resistance (~350 °C) - for components exposed to prolonged thermal stress 

We also operate under controlled conditions, including GMP-compliant production for medical and food-grade applications. This ensures not just a great design, but a stable, repeatable outcome.
